Weed and Pest Control in Forestry: a guide to the safe and effective use of crop protection products in forestry and farm woodlands, is a handy little guide on current best practice in the control of weeds, insects and other pests & diseases.In 2021, UK pesticide regulation passed from the EU to the UK. Following the 2020 consultation National Action Plan for the Sustainable Use of Pesticides (NAP), new recommendations are expected but not until at least the spring 2022. It is anticipated that all forest managers who advise on the use of pesticides will need to be qualified.
